Setting up ERR Mail Merge options in PitneyShip Enterprise

You can set various options for ERR Mail Merge files, including file naming and whether to download coversheets along with images of the postage and barcodes.

The features and options you see may vary depending upon your role and subscription. If you have any questions regarding your permissions, please contact your administrator.

1. Select Settings > Shipping & Mailing > ERR Mail Merge Options.
2. Select where you want these options to apply under Select Distribution.
   

   Select...	To apply the options to...
   Enterprise (default)	Your entire company
   Division	A specific subdivision of your company
   Location	A specific subdivision in your company's divisions

   If you select either Division or Location, you must then select which Division or Location from a list that your administrator set up.
3. Under Select preferred output for ERR Image download, select your download options.
   

   Select...	For output containing...
   Postage & Barcode	Postage stamps and tracking barcodes image files
   Coversheet	PDF versions of the coversheets
   Both	PDF coversheets plus the image files

4. Under Set a prefix for your downloaded file name: You'll see the prefix in your output.
   
   • Custom Prefix: Enter any custom prefix you wish to add to the beginning of each of your mail merge files.
   • Default Prefix:  Select the prefix you wish to use for your mail merge files. The system sets Date and Tracking Number automatically. You can provide Reference 1 in the ERR import file we'll discuss later in this module. The yellow-highlighted portion is the prefix. Note that the optional Custom Prefix, "PB." and the Default prefixes "Date," "Tracking Number," and "Reference 1" correspond to the options you set.
     
5. Click Save.
