Setting up a custom non-rated carrier in PitneyShip Enterprise

A custom non-rated carrier is a carrier that allows you to track packages for the purpose of for accountability without being a rated carrier. This can be used for couriers, your own mailroom delivery, etc.

A custom non-rated carrier is a carrier that allows you to track packages for the purpose of accountability without being a rated carrier. This can be used for couriers, your own mailroom delivery, etc.

  • Custom non-rated carriers cannot be used when printing labels from the Ship Orders screen.
  • You can enter an optional custom charge on the rating screen if needed.
  • You can enter your own tracking number if needed. Tracking numbers must be unique.
  • You can only print 4 x 6 labels for custom non-rated carriers.
  • You can only reprint custom non-rated carrier labels once.

  1. Select Settings > Carriers.
  2. Select Add Carrier.
  3. In the Carrier Display Name field, enter a name for the account.
  4. From the Select Carrier menu, select NORATE.
  5. Under Access Level, select which divisions and locations will have access to this account:
    • Enterprise: All divisions and locations
    • Division: Select the desired divisions
    • Location: Select the desired locations
  6. Complete any of the optional fields if needed.
  7. Select Add Carrier.
