Quickly identify the geographic boundary of a particular point, without the need to create or interpret a map. Improve your decision-making processes based on your customer’s relation to specific geographic criteria. Determine the distance between a specific customer and a given location. Direct customers to your location that is most convenient to their home or business.
Put the power of geography to work for you
Spatial+ from Pitney Bowes Business Insight enables you to do all of this and much more by harnessing the power of geography and location intelligence. You now have the power to improve decision-making processes based on the relationship of your customers and prospects to specific geographic criteria. Spatial+ provides real-time analysis based on multiple layers of geographic data.
Understand the geography
The Spatial+ geographic boundary, or Point-in-Polygon (PIP), analysis enables you to more accurately locate a set of points within a specific geographic boundary or polygon. Examples include:
Determine the distance
Radial analysis is simply a distance test, much like using a compass to draw a circle around a given geographical point. Spatial+ takes this process one step further, by producing results instantly and automatically. While commonly used for batch processing, the highly optimized Spatial+ system produces sub-second query responses that are ideal for real-time applications. Examples include:
Make more informed decisions
Spatial+ performs analysis on buffered lines, points and polygons. Buffered objects allow you to determine, for example, if a point or points are within 500 feet of a flood zone or sales territory. With our geographic determination library (GDL) Option, Spatial+ builds a geo-variance buffer around assigned latitude and longitude coordinates. This allows you to perform real-time spatial comparisons and confidence level assignments. The Spatial+ GDL Option insures that close points are included in selected areas, and provides a confidence indicator to every geographic assignment at every level – address-level, ZIP Code, ZIP+2 and ZIP+4. This enables you to make faster, more informed geographically-based decisions in areas where there is little room for error.
