Greater Application Flexibility

When a national insurance company needed a faster flat-to-folded changeover time on the FPS™ Split Drive Inserting System, Pitney Bowes engineered a revolutionary solution to provide greater application flexibility in a smaller footprint.

The new Portrait-to-Landscape (P2L) module increases the versatility of flat mail by rotating and collating documents at top speed. The P2L module turns flat mail document(s) 90 degrees from portrait-orientation to landscape-orientation at speeds up to 12,000 mailpieces per hour.

Faster changeover

Easily integrated between the input and FPS chassis, the P2L module, allows quick job changeover from flat to folded and back to flat as your job schedule dictates for greater inserter productivity. As an option, the module can also turn documents 180 degrees for even more flexibility.

Faster application changeover provides more options for mailers who run multiple mailpiece and envelope sizes from 10x13 to 6x9 to a standard #10 envelope.  This robust technology can be used with any cut sheet application on the HPI-50S sheet feeder and Pitney Bowes line of high productivity inputs for continuous form and roll-fed applications.

The P2L module opens the door to new business opportunities by expanding the different types of applications that can be run on a single FPS inserter. The module can easily be “turned off” or deactivated at the control system.

Save money and floor space

The expanding flexibility of the FPS Split Drive with the P2L module means you have an automatic back-up system in case of an emergency. It also lets you eliminate the need for dedicated systems for specific applications. Now you can replace multiple legacy swing-arm systems with one high speed Pitney Bowes inserter. As a result, you save the costs associated with maintaining and operating multiple systems while reclaiming valuable floor space.
