ecowiseSM  Operations

Through our ecowiseSM program, Pitney Bowes can help our customers quantify the carbon footprint of their mailstream operations, pinpoint and implement opportunities to improve efficiency and reduce the carbon footprint and communicate success through authorized use of ecowiseSM program logos. Through the five phases of the ecowiseSM solution - assess, plan, create, validate and brand - we work with our customers to build an environmentally-friendly mailstream.

ENERGY STAR Partnership

Pitney Bowes understands that a significant environmental impact of electronic equipment is the energy demand throughout its operating life. Pitney Bowes partnered with the US Environmental Protection Agency to create an Energy Star category for mailing machines. And, our design engineers develop innovative solutions to ensure our products offer the most energy efficient mailing capability in the market.

New Uses for Old Products

Through our Take Back and Recycling programs we help our customers retire equipment they no longer need and we put it, or its parts back to work in new ways. We make it easy for our customers and service representatives to mail used or damaged parts back for credit, repair or recycling, saving time, eliminating disposal decisions and recovering valuable raw materials.
